Persons with disabilities must work hard everyday to overcome barriers and be independent in their lives. As medical treatment continues to grow, so does recognition of the value of environment and independence. Building the skills and confidence to achieve, exploring new opportunities, and establishing limitations. This Camp is a place where people can come to relax and experience nature!
Since 1975, the Georgia Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees) have worked to provide a recreational facility for Georgians with disabilities. Camp Dream is a component of the Center for Therapeutic Recreation at Warm Springs, an initial $11.4 million public/private partnership between numerous private donors, the Roosevelt Warm Springs Rehabilitation Development Fund, the Georgia Department of Human Resources, the U.S. Department of Rehabilitation Services, and the Georgia Jaycees.
Camp Dream has been designed and built to be barrier-free for people of all ages with a wide variety of disabilities and levels of severity. This facility is a gift of love to disabled Georgians, a place where they have an opportunity to develop their full potential as people in a rustic natural setting.

Founded by Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1927, Roosevelt Warm Springs continues a tradition of compassion and quality care that spans 80 years. Entering its ninth decade as a comprehensive rehabilitation center dedicated to service, technological advancement, program diversity, research opportunities, continuing education and future development on behalf of persons with disabilities, Roosevelt Warm Springs remains a national treasure and Georgia "point-of-pride".
